Estimating Maximum Surface Settlement Caused by EPB Shield Tunneling Utilizing an Intelligent Approach

To control tunneling risk, the prediction of surface settlement rate induced by shield using earth pressure balance plays a crucial role. achieve this, ten independent variables were identified that can affect amount settlement. The nonlinear relationship between maximum ground settlements and influential was considered in artificial neural network (ANN) models. A total 150 genuine datasets derived from Southern Development Section Tehran Metro Line 6 project used to train, validate, test ANN techniques. Hence, mentioned predicted most accurate back propagation technique. Ultimately, importance level different parameters on at is relatively determined based results optimal network. this paper evaluate relative each variable involved demonstrate grout injection permeability equivalent proportions approximately 16.91% 5.07% have highest lowest impact, successively.
